Have you spent your time, money and efforts to hire good employees who don’t stay with your firm?
Is your revenue decreasing because you can’t get or keep the right people even though you have done the reference checks, had the interviews, and gone through resumes with a ‘fine tooth comb’? Have you ever considered the possibility that your good people are leaving because you have the wrong people managing them.
Finding and keeping the right people for your firm is not an easy thing. After all, your expertise is in the law, not in determining how a person is going to perform. What would it be worth to you to be able to easily put together that optimal staff that can help you to reach the goals you have set for your firm?
Our expertise here at Staff Development Services is matching the right person to the right job. And, we have spent our time and efforts to research and develop what we feel is an accurate and easy way to help you develop your existing staff managers into people that can help you take your firm where you want it to go.
We have developed an easy, but comprehensive, two-step system that allows you to do that–the Staff Development Services Management Feedback System.
Step One of our comprehensive process begins with our Coaching Report. The Coaching Report gives an extremely accurate portrayal of a manager/ employee’s character and how well it matches the requirements of the job they are doing. This provides insight into a person’s character to identify their strengths and weaknesses and, therefore, why they are or are not successful in their role. However, people are not always responsive to this information and, therefore, fail to make the suggested improvements.
But, Step Two addresses this problem. This step consists of the administration of a 360 survey to the manager/employee that provides them with feedback from their manager, peers, and subordinates who interact with them regularly. A 360, or multi-rater, survey is an excellent method to further increase the optimal performance of your management team. 360 evaluations are widely recognized by businesses, both large and small, as an effective method of gaining insight into a person’s ability to perform that is nearly impossible to get otherwise. Employees may not give accurate assessments when asked face-to-face how their manager performs for fear of retribution. But, if presented with the opportunity to give information anonymously, there is a greater likelihood of them being honest and forthright.
Now, managers not only understand how other people feel about interacting with them but they also have the information on how they can improve their behaviors and performance based on the information provided by our Coaching Report. Once the person has completed the Staff Development Services Management Feedback System there is only one reason they cannot become an optimal performer–they do not want to!!
But, what makes this process even better is that the combined results of all your managers can be put into one comparative report for you to review. This permits an easy comparison of all your leaders so that important decisions can be made about optimizing the organization. As a principal who is too busy to deal with staffing issues, what could be better than having the capabilities of your management team reviewed in one easy-to-read document?
